Welcome to my web pages, and I hope you enjoy viewing my paintings, and pencil sketches. I am a self taught artist, attending various art groups that got together painting under supervision. I painted my first watercolor at eleven under the watchfull eyes of my aunt, and grandmother who were artists. The high school I attended in Clinton Ontario didn't have an art programme, but I did do art for dances, and graduations. After leaving school, and starting to work, art was put on the back burner. Years later I married, had children, lost interest in art untill moving to Alberta. In Alberta I was involved in my first art group, and thoroughly enjoyed getting a brush in my hand, and putting paint on a canvas. After a few years in Alberta getting close to retirement my wife, and I moved to the Sunshine Coast. Scenery so different from Alberta with mountains, and the ocean. Art on the coast was exciting, but very little involvement with other artists. Sechelt had a very good Artisans market, and we also had a Co-Op artist store for a couple of years. We lived on the coast from 1992 to 2007. We moved to the Okanagen living in Penticton surrounded by mountains, and two lakes, and thoroughly enjoy a very artistic community. Most of my paintings are landscape, but I do paint other subjects as you will see on my pages. Enjoy, and feel free to get in touch by email [email protected]
